THE EAGLE CHOCK

Our flagship product, the "Eagle Self-Locking Wheel Chock"  has gone through a multitude of changes to evolve into what it is today. After years of product development, marketing  and responding to feedback We know exactly what the needs of the customer are. Just the cradle portion of our chock has gone through many changes. The original cradle consisted of a 5/8'' steel rod design. While this worked well for off road and narrow tired bikes without fender clearance issues, it wasn't the best fit for the big bikes. We realized we needed to make a change.

The Eagle Chock cradle has been completely re-designed to accommodate all big cruisers and touring bikes. The result is a form fitting cradle that molds to the wider tires of the big bikes and holds them firmly in it's grasp. This new cradle works perfectly!

The cradle follows the tire into the chock like it is part of the bike, it does not flip into position or interfere with fenders in any way.

For use on the narrow tire bikes, the "Narrow Tire Adapter Kit" (Model 20128) was developed. We use four solid molded plastic pieces with threaded inserts designed to be bolted in pre-drilled 1/4'' holes on the cradle. This works very well for the Sportsters, Dyna's, customs and anything else with a narrow tire. A new plastic mould was built in 2005 with a tapered design that accommodates a wider rage of tire widths and moulds perfectly to the newly designed cradle. When Harley Davidson made a change to their front fender that affected our design we reacted quickly. Changes were made to accommodate the new front fender and any after market extensions. The latest change has been a widening and tapering of the cradle to allow for the wider 150mm tires and provide additional clearance for various fender extensions primarily on the Honda's and Harley's. We now have what we believe to be the finest universal wheel chock on the market. Constructed of 3/16'' carbon steel plate and 5/8'' solid steel rod the Eagle Chock is also the strongest chock in the industry.  

QUICK RELEASE PLATE

About the same time as the re-design of the wheel chock we developed a new Quick Release Plate (Model 20111)

The original plate was 10'' x 15'' and built of 1/8'' steel with 1/4'' key stock brackets welded underneath for support. Strips of 1/4'' plastic were used as spacers under the plate. Hex bolts slid into 1/4'' long slots and were tightened to secure the wheel chock.

In 2005 we re-designed the Quick Release Plate. Dimensions are now 10.5'' x 15.5''  It is now a thicker steel plate (3/16'') with a 3/4'' long slot and secures with a 3/8'' x 3/4'' wide head carriage bolt.  The carriage bolt head provides more surface area than the hex bolt and the slot is three times longer as an added security measure. The new plates edges are curved for looks and functionality and notches have been added to accommodate the Tie Down Kit (Model 20122) brackets. A textured black powder coat is applied to the new plate for long lasting durability and a better over-all appearance.

TIE DOWN KIT

The Tie Down Kit (Model 20122) is a simple design that was born out of customer feedback. People wanted a way to tie down their bike without having to compress the forks. This kit consists of two 1/4'' thick slotted adjustable steel black powder coated brackets, a one inch heavy duty ratchet, two flat hooks and five feet of 1'' nylon strapping. The Tie Down Brackets are positioned under the Quick Release Plate (Model 20111) and the 1'' strap loops over the front tire and back down to the tie down points. Tighten snug with the ratchet and you are ready to go. This tie down kit works great if you have a very narrow single bike trailer and are limited for tie down points.
